![]() Then all you gotta do is quickly double-click the Play/Pause button so it moves to the next frame, snip that, save it to the folder, rinse and repeat until you have all the frames you need.Īs you can probably tell, this manual method can get repititive quickly, and moving through the frames by hand guarantees that you’ll probably end up skipping a frame or two. After that you just need to save it in a folder of your choice with a name of your choice. I’ve changed the border in WMP from black to bright yellow (Right click>'More options’>'Performance’) so I can easily see where I need to adjust the player’s width and height to get the best size for snipping (if there’s yellow in the snip then I need to make the player smaller for example). To take the screenshot I’m using the Snipping Tool that comes with Windows (quick video here for those not in the know here’s a way to do it on a Mac) and using the ‘Window Select’ option. Open up the episode in Windows Media Player and scroll through to the scene you want. I’ll talk quickly about them both, starting with the less efficient. There are two methods I’ve used for taking screenshots, one of which is faster and results in gifs that run smoother. I used DL'ed episodes before I bought the boxsets and they weren’t the best quality, but they sufficed until I had the money to buy the real deal. I’ve bought the DVD’s and ripped the episodes onto my computer, but there’s places online where you can download or torrent them at your pleasure ( download for subs, two torrents places for dubs, idk if they work you’ll have to check yourself or Google around more than I did). ![]() You can skip to whatever part you want if you’re already sure of the other bits!įor this instance we’re going to be taking caps from the Animation. ![]() I’m not sure how much the person wanted me to explain, but I’ve split this up into three parts getting the screencaps for the gif, editing stuff for the gif, and then making the gif itself. I hope it’s sufficient enough for the person who requested it at least! ![]() I’m really not sure if I elaborated enough or even mentioned all the important details and it’s just… more of a rambling than an explanation since my way of doing things is itself kind of really non-structured. So, an image-heavy document it is!Īfter completing this I’ve realised that I have no idea how to make tutorials. I was trying to make a video instead but then it turned out that a) I don’t have an audio input device and b) the software I was using to record my screen churned out horrible quality. ![]()
